My research interests lie at the intersection of robotics and computer vision. In my work with Prof. Charlie Kemp, I have been utilizing visual data to investigate how robots and humans interact with the world by applying forces to their environment. My master’s research has made me appreciate the vast amount of salient information contained in images and videos; I believe that the richness and ubiquity of visual data are capable of taking artificial systems most of the way toward a deep understanding of the world. In my future research, I am interested in utilizing internet-scale video data of humans performing goal-directed actions to learn robotic policies, thus enabling robots to reason about and act in dynamic environments.
